Looking for a sip and paint night in Chester? Our evening events at Pictura on Eastgate Row North are relaxed, social and made for beginners: paint a canvas step by step with a glass of prosecco, watch your painting glow under UV light, or bring your own drinks and paint pottery with friends.

Join us for a relaxed, social evening where we’ll guide you step by step through creating your own atmospheric Halloween canvas, featuring a glowing orange sky, moonlit water, bats, twisted trees and a spooky house in silhouette.
Our artist guides you step by step through the evening’s canvas, breaking it down into easy stages. Your ticket includes your canvas, all paints and materials, tuition and a glass of prosecco on arrival, and you take your finished painting home.
An adults-only, guided painting night with vivid fluorescent paints under UV lighting, so every brushstroke glows. Designed for complete beginners, with all materials and your own canvas to take home.
Bring your own drinks (and snacks if you like) and paint pottery with friends. Your ticket secures your seat, with all paints and brushes and a little help from our team. You choose and pay for your pottery on the night, with pieces from £18.
BYOB means bring your own bottle. At our BYOB Pottery Evenings you’re welcome to bring your own drinks, and snacks if you like. BYOB evenings are for over-18s. Our daytime café and studio don’t allow outside drinks, so BYOB is just for these evening events.

Want the room to yourselves? Our adult parties are private sessions for 10 to 30 guests, including Sip and Paint, for hens, birthdays and get-togethers.

Yes, at our BYOB Pottery Evenings you’re welcome to bring your own drinks (over-18s only). Painting & Prosecco nights include a glass of prosecco on arrival. Outside drinks aren’t allowed at daytime sessions.
No. Our evenings are relaxed and designed for complete beginners. On painting nights our artist breaks the painting down into easy stages, and at BYOB evenings our team is on hand if you need a little help.
It depends on the evening, and every date above shows its start and finish time. Coming up: Spooky BYOB Pottery Evening: 6pm to 8:30pm (2½ hours); Painting & Prosecco: Halloween edition: 7pm to 9pm (2 hours).
Our BYOB Pottery Evenings are for over-18s, and adults-only nights such as Painting in the Dark are 18+. Each event’s own page shows its age details.
Yes. Our adult parties are private sessions for 10 to 30 guests, and Sip and Paint is one of the options. For work groups of 10 or more, see our corporate and team events.
We glaze and fire your piece, which takes 4 weeks. Once you get your email saying it’s ready, pop in during our opening hours within 2 weeks. No appointment needed.
