For a date night in Chester that isn’t just dinner, try a creative evening at Pictura on Eastgate Row North. Painting & Prosecco nights guide you step by step through a canvas with a glass of prosecco on arrival, and our BYOB pottery evenings (over-18s) let you bring your own drinks and paint pottery together. No experience needed, and dates are listed on What’s On.
Our artist guides you step by step through the evening’s canvas, breaking it into easy stages. Your ticket includes your canvas, all paints and materials, tuition and a glass of prosecco on arrival, and you take your finished painting home.
An adults-only guided painting night with vivid fluorescent paints under UV lighting, so every brushstroke glows. Designed for complete beginners, with your own canvas to take home.
Bring your own drinks (and snacks if you like) and paint pottery side by side. Your ticket secures your seat, with all paints and brushes and a little help from our team, and you choose and pay for your pottery on the night, with pieces from £18. BYOB evenings are for over-18s.

Dates, times and prices come straight from our events listing. Each date shows its own start and finish time.
Grab your ghouls and bring a bottle! Our BYOB Pottery Evenings are going Halloween for one frightfully fun Friday night this October.
Join us for a relaxed, social evening where we’ll guide you step by step through creating your own atmospheric Halloween canvas, featuring a glowing orange sky, moonlit water, bats, twisted trees and a spooky house in silhouette.
Prefer daytime? Book a table in the café and paint a mug or plate each. A table booking is two hours, pieces start at £18, and we glaze and kiln-fire your pottery, ready to collect in 4 weeks. It makes a lovely matching pair. We’re open Tuesday to Friday 10am to 6pm and at weekends 10am to 5pm (closed Mondays).
Bringing friends? Our adult parties are private 90-minute sessions for 10 to 30 guests: life drawing or Sip and Paint at £40 a person, or pottery painting (over-18s) at £42 a person. Sip and Paint is in a private room with a tutor, canvases, paints, brushes, aprons and a theme of your choice, and Prosecco and other drink options are available.
We’re up on the Rows at 5 Eastgate Row North, a short walk from Storyhouse (theatre and cinema) and Chester Market for food. Step-free access is via Godstall Lane, opposite the cathedral. Canvases go home with you at the end of the night; pottery stays with us to be glazed and fired, and you collect it within 2 weeks of the ready email.
Planning a work social? We run private team building and corporate events in Chester for groups of 10 or more, from £40 a person + VAT. See our team building ideas.
